Kimberly Clausing focuses on tax law and policy and the interaction between government and corporate behavior in the global economy. She holds the Eric M. Zolt Chair in Tax Law and Policy at the UCLA School of Law and is a nonresident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. She previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax Analysis at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Her research spans taxation, climate policy, and international trade, and she is the author of Open: The Progressive Case for Free Trade, Immigration, and Global Capital. She received a BA from Carleton College and a PhD in Economics from Harvard University.
