Benjamin Remy Chabot focuses on banking, financial markets, and the role of institutions in shaping asset prices and financial stability. He was an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Economics at Northwestern University. His research examines financial history and financial stability, with particular attention to banking systems and stress testing. From 2010 to 2024, he served as an Economist and Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, advising on financial stability and FOMC deliberations and leading the production of Dodd-Frank stress tests. He received a PhD in Economics and previously held academic appointments at Yale University and the University of Michigan.
