Is Inequality or Regulation the Driver of America’s Housing Affordability Crisis? A Discussion with Professors Elmendorf and Buchholz

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join Housers at Berkeley for a discussion on the true drivers of America’s housing crisis, featuring Chris Elmendorf, a leading authority on California land-use and housing law, and Maximilian Buchholz, Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning at UC Berkeley.

Elmendorf will argue that restrictive regulations, such as zoning, are the primary cause, while Buchholz will make the case, based on his recent research, that inequality is the central driver.

Please RSVP to receive the location.
