Interested in Animal Law? Come to the Animal Legal Defense Fund Launch

We\\\'ll introduce the emerging field of animal law, explain the philosphy underlying our work, and make new friends over some delicious food. Taj Uppal is an animal rights attorney, Berkeley Law grad, and multi-felony defendant. He faces over 6 years in prison for rescuing animals from a California factory farm. Come here about: How to use your law degree to help animals. How a career in animal law lookslike, how to make the most of your berkeley law experience and find community at the law school! Also, you\\\'ll have the oppurtunity to meet bay area animal law practitioners at the event!

Join the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) and guest speaker Taj Uppal for this year’s launch event on Monday, August 24th at 12:50 pm in room 10. 

ALDF is an organization and community for those who care about animal welfare, animal law, and advocate for plant-based food at Berkeley law’s campus. All are welcome to listen to Taj Uppal, a Berkeley ALDF Alumni and an animal activist, speak about his experiences and animal advocacy work. There may also be several animal rights attorneys from the bay area to talk about their work and their advocacy.
