Public defenders’ first obligation is advocating for their clients’ expressed interests. Listening to clients’ feedback makes defenders better advocates.
Join Ricky Godfrey, Micah Smith, Defenders at Berkeley, and the Criminal Law and Justice Center this Thursday evening to hear from community activists who have had public defenders represent them. Learn how advocates have served clients well, what they can do better, and how public defenders can be more effective and responsive to the clients they serve.
