“Direct Democracy After Dobbs”
Presented by Melissa Murray
Lecture in the Warren Room, followed by a reception in the Donor Lobby.
Melissa Murray is a professor at NYU School of Law, specializing in constitutional law, family law, criminal law, and reproductive rights and justice. Her research examines the legal regulation of sex, sexuality, marriage, and caregiving. A graduate of the University of Virginia and Yale Law School, she clerked for Judge Sonia Sotomayor and Judge Stefan Underhill. Murray’s scholarship has appeared in top law journals, and she is a co-author of Cases on Reproductive Rights and Justice. She is also a frequent media commentator, contributing to outlets like The New York Times, MSNBC, and PBS. Before NYU, she was a faculty member and interim dean at Berkeley Law.
