Event Navigation

Every year since 1994, the Human Rights Center has provided fellowships to UC students for human rights fieldwork, research, and journalism. This year, our fellows spent their summers working with organizations in Puerto Rico, Mexico, Nigeria, Argentina, Madagascar, Hong Kong, California and New York on issues including sterilization in prisons, threats to asylum seekers at the southern border, LGBTQI rights, environmental justice, sex workers’ safety, the rights of indigenous communities, and more.
Featuring a keynote speech by Dr. Bernie Lim, founder of Freedom Community Clinic! Lunch served, coffee served, and a reception will follow the conference. RSVP HERE.
These events are open only to UC Berkeley Law students, faculty, and staff, unless otherwise noted.
Events are wheelchair accessible. For disability-related accommodations, contact the organizer of the event. Advance notice is kindly requested.
