First-Generation Professionals Plaintiff-Side Work Panel

Come learn about what Plaintiff-side work entails from Phong-Chau G. Nguyen (Berkeley BA ’08) and Mallory Morales (Berkeley JD ’18)! This panel will include pre submitted questions as well as a live Q&A from audience members.

Phong-Chau G. Nguyen is a partner in Lieff Cabraser’s San Francisco office specializing in consumer and defective product cases, as well as personal injury/mass tort matters. He is part of the leadership team in the Volkswagen Diesel Emissions multidistrict litigation, won the California Daily Journal’s “California Lawyer of the Year” award, and secured a finalist position for the 2017 Consumer Attorneys of California “Consumer Attorneys of the Year” award.

While in law school Mallory Morales participated in La Raza Law Students’ Association, Women of Color Collective, La Raza Law Journal, and First Generation Professionals. She interned for the East Bay Community Law Center and completed an externship for the Honorable William H. Alsup in the United State District Court, Northern District of California. She currently does consumer class action and qui tam litigation work at Tycko & Zavareei.
