Thursday, March 6, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation
Join us for an insightful presentation by Professor William Kidder, Research Associate at the UCLA Civil Rights Project, who will discuss his recent study on the sharp decline in enrollment of low-income undocumented students at UC and CSU campuses. Co-authored with Professor Kevin R. Johnson of UC Davis, the study, “California Dreamin’: DACA’s Decline and Undocumented College Student Enrollment in the Golden State,” examines the impact of DACA’s erosion on higher education access.
With over a decade of experience in higher education policy, Professor Kidder will also explore recent legislative efforts, like Assembly Bill 2586, aimed at safeguarding undocumented students’ campus employment rights. Don’t miss this timely opportunity to discuss the future of undocumented students in California’s educational system and the broader implications of federal and state policies.
