Digital Security Training: Tips and Tools for Protection

Join us Wednesday, March 14th from 1:00 PM-2:00 PM in Room 110 for a digital security training hosted by Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic, and co-sponsored by BIPLA and BCLT. Lunch provided.
This talk and practical training on digital security is targeted towards activists and advocates at Berkeley Law. You will learn basic tools to protect yourself, your communications, and your clients when organizing and taking action.
Topics to be covered include:
- An introduction on device security and software updates
- Identity theft, including phishing, and how to use a password manager
- Browser privacy tools, including Tor, VPN, DuckDuckGo, HTTPS Everywhere, and Privacy Badger
- Activism and communication tools, including Signal, WhatsApp, ProtonMail, and social media use
