2025 Certificate of Specialization in International Law – applications due April 1
Berkeley Law students may undertake a specialization in international law. The specialized curricular program ensures students develop a broad background in fundamental areas of law while receiving advanced training in international law. Students who meet the requirements are awarded a Certificate of Specialization in International Law at the end of their graduating year. The deadline to apply is April 1 in the student’s graduating year.
Enrolled students who wish to earn the Certificate must complete certain requirements, including taking the foundational International Law course plus an additional nine units of International and Comparative Law classes at Berkeley Law, as well as writing a substantial 20- to 30-page paper on international or comparative law.
If you have questions, email InternationalLawCertificate@law.berkeley.edu. Drop by the 381 Law office of program coordinator Toni Mendicino on April 1 with any questions!
