Critical Foundations: Feminist Jurisprudence with Prof. Sarah Song

Thursday, October 2, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Come learn about the contributions of feminist jurisprudence to American law. This talk will include feminist critiques of law/legal method, and how feminist perspectives function and fit within the critical theory perspective.

Sarah Song joined the Berkeley Law faculty in 2007, where she is now the Associate Dean for the Jurisprudence & Social Policy (JSP) and Legal Studies Programs. Her academic work focuses on political and legal philosophy, with a specific emphasis on immigration and feminist theory. Song is the author of two books, Justice, Gender, and the Politics of Multiculturalism and Immigration and Democracy, both of which explore complex issues of justice, citizenship, and democracy. She holds degrees from Harvard College, Oxford, and Yale.

Lunch will be served inside of Room 132 starting at 12:40 PM. RSVPs will be prioritized. RSVP Here
