Core in Context: Torts w/ Prof. Talha Syed

In this conversation, Professor Talha Syed will offer a grounding touchstone for our community’s newest members, illustrating how tort law reflects critical choices about harm, responsibility, and the distribution of economic risk in society.

Professor Syed’s research focuses on law and political economy, with applications across torts, intellectual property, antitrust, and theories of distributive justice. Recipient of the American Antitrust Institute’s Jerry S. Cohen Memorial Award and author of the forthcoming book Pharmaceutical Innovation Policy, his scholarship explores how legal frameworks can be reimagined to serve the public good.
