Core in Context: Criminal Law with Prof. Jonathan Glater

Thursday, September 18, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Professor Glater will provide an overview of the Criminal Law class and situate the topics covered in a broader context of efforts to promote social justice, attending to the ways that criminal law enforcement affects people who are differently situated and people who are members of historically subordinated groups.

Jonathan Glater is a Professor of Law at UC Berkeley whose research focuses on how law affects access to education, especially higher education. He examines the impact of student debt on educational opportunities and has published extensively on topics including student loan reform and rethinking merit in education. Professor Glater also serves as a faculty director of the Center on Consumer Law and Economic Justice and co-directs the Student Loan Law Initiative.

Lunch will be served inside of Room 132 starting at 12:40 PM. Please RSVP here. RSVPs will be prioritized.
