A leading voice in law and political economy, Prof. Reddy’s research examines how the regulation of work shapes the relationship between American economic structures and democratic ideals. Before returning to academia, she spent years on the front lines representing workers and labor unions at Altshuler Berzon LLP, the California Teachers Association, and the AFL-CIO. She brings this rich practical experience directly to our community.
In this session, Professor Reddy will offer a vital framework for interpreting Contracts through a social justice lens. Drawing from her deep expertise in civil rights, social movement advocacy, and her recent scholarship in the Yale Law Journal and the Emory Law Journal, Professor Reddy provides a welcome touchstone for our community’s newest members. Join us for this engaging lunch and lecture to discover concrete ways that a core 1L class can be leveraged to challenge economic inequality and advance a more democratic society.
Lunch will be served inside of Room 170 starting at 12:50 PM. RSVPs will be prioritized. This event is open to all students.
