Consumer Law and Economic Justice Student Orientation
Monday, August 24, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Event Navigation

Hosted by the Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice & CAPS:
Concerned about companies posting record profits while jacking up prices on everyday goods and services? Troubled by predatory lenders targeting low-income communities of color? Worried about Big Tech abuses by companies like Meta, Amazon, OpenAI, and TikTok — or airline price discrimination, surveillance pricing, subscriptions you can’t cancel, government imposter scams, and AI voice cloning fraud?
Come learn about consumer law and hear how you can get involved in working for economic justice in the courts, before regulatory agencies, and in Congress and state legislatures. (Or how you can counsel your future clients to avoid problems like these in the first place.)
New students (1Ls, 2L transfer students, and LLM students) and returning students all welcome!
RSVP here by 8/21 for lunch.
See you there!
