Thursday, April 3, 2025 @ 12:50 pm - 2:00 pm

Event flyer

Join the Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society for a discussion on the intersection of law, policy, and politics in the fight against poverty featuring Jess Bartholow, SEIU California’s Director of Government Relations. With a career dedicated to advancing economic justice, Jess offers key insight into the intersection of litigation, legislative reform, and political calculations in the work to materially improve people’s lives.

This conversation will draw out the role of lawyers in shaping economic justice through real-world examples of how litigation intersects with advocacy, the importance of policymaking, and the strategic tools attorneys can use to fight for working people.

Whether you’re interested in direct legal services, labor law, or legislative advocacy, this is an opportunity to engage with a champion for working people and explore how legal skills can be leveraged to strengthen our communities and combat economic injustice
