Come join the Center for Law and Work from 12:45-2:00 PM in Room 132 to welcome Marc Pilotin, Regional Solicitor of Labor (Region IX) at the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL)! Learn more about the central role of the Solicitor’s Office in litigating cases and enforcing federal laws that protect workers who have experienced wage theft, retaliation, unsafe workplaces, and other illegal employment practices, as well as the Solicitor’s recent cases combating child labor violations. Mr. Pilotin, a Berkeley Law alum, previously served as Governor Newsom’s appointee to head the legal department of the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency (the largest state labor agency in the nation), and litigated employment and antitrust class actions at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein.
