[CDO/BCLB] Transactional Practice Breakdown & Business Law Fair

Friday, March 9, 2018 @ 12:45 pm - 3:00 pm

Litigators litigate, but what do transactional/corporate attorneys actually DO? Learn all about it during this 2-part program. In this first segment, the CDO will present on the details and differences between various transactional practices, and review vocabulary and terms of art so that you can develop your knowledge of practice areas and learn to articulate your specific interests in a transactional/corporate law practice.

During the second segment, plan to attend BCLB’s Business Law Fair to speak with transactional attorneys from BCLB’s sponsor firms about their work. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served during the fair.

This 2-part program is a great way to learn more about whether a transactional practice might suit you, learn more about the options within a transactional practice, develop the vocabulary to discuss your interests with employers, and get to have live conversations with attorneys working in these areas.

The first part of the program is primarily intended for 1Ls planning to participate in the late summer recruiting programs.

The Law Firm Fair at Bancroft Hotel is divided into two times; 1:15-2:15pm for JD Students and 2:15-3pm for LLM Students.
