[CDO] Speed Clerking

Monday, March 30, 2026 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

This event is essentially a rapid-fire networking event where students interested in clerkships can ask questions to 3Ls who have navigated the process and obtained clerkships.  Our hope is that these casual, informal Q&A rotations will help demystify the process and provide an easy ice-breaker to connect students with each other.

This event is open to all students who want to learn more about clerking—you do not have to be actively involved in the process now.  No questions will be too basic or silly, trust us!  We have all been there and want to help!  We will also distribute a list of sample questions before the event.  Because 3Ls were also subject to the Federal Hiring Plan, this will be a great time to ask questions about the student-side of that experience.

We will try our best to match students with 3L clerks based on geographic or professional interests.  Preference will be given to 2Ls.  1Ls, 3Ls, and LLMs will be considered if space allows.

The event will feature 5-7 minute conversations between 1-2 students and a 3L future clerk, bookended with time for informal mingling.  The formal speed-clerking part of the program will begin at 5:30 PM (so don’t worry if you have a class that ends at 5:25!). We hope you can make it!  Food and drinks will be provided.
