[CDO] 1Ls: Summers in International Public Interest/Public Sector

Wednesday, September 25, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Thinking about spending your 1L summer doing public interest or government work in an international-related setting? You could work abroad or in the US; for an NGO, a government body, or a tribunal; on myriad issues including human rights, economic development, trade…the possibilities are endless. Identifying your options and narrowing them down is especially challenging in these fields, networking is crucial, and the hiring processes and timelines for international opportunities are often quite different from domestic ones. To help you start figuring it all out, in this program we will look at some of the international public interest/public sector summer jobs that 1Ls have had in recent years, and talk about how they found and landed them.
