The Center for Law and Work welcomes Caitlin Vega, General Counsel of the California Federation of Labor Unions! Over the past two decades, Ms. Vega has been the driving force behind the strongest worker rights laws in the state. Among her many accomplishments, she spearheaded California legislation to combat worker misclassification; impose joint liability on companies that use temporary and contract labor; expand whistleblower protections for workers; penalize companies for immigration-based retaliation against workers; and address the impact of Janus v. AFSCME on unions. These are just a few examples — attend our event to learn more! Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to meet Ms. Vega and hear about her extraordinary career of over 20 years as a visionary lawyer and lobbyist in the labor movement! SPACE IS LIMITED. (Lunch will be provided – first come, first served.)
