The purpose of this event is to provide information and support to students from underrepresented backgrounds considering applying for positions within Board of Advocates (BOA). BOA is an umbrella organization encompassing Trial Team, Moot Court, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Technology/IP (brand new team!). At this event, a panel of diverse BOA members will share their experiences from tryouts and competitions. They will describe the strategies and resources they used to overcome barriers, such as bias, or learning many of these advocacy skills for the first time. In addition, the panel will address audience questions. This event is occurring on Tuesday, March 21st from 1 – 2 pm in Room 170. Lunch will be provided!
