Beyond Perfectionism: A Toolkit for Law Students with Dr. Jen Douglas

Thursday, January 29, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Breakdown Perfectionism and build up those most vulnerable. Perfectionism promises safety and success—but often delivers burnout, comparison, and never-enoughness. In this candid, research-informed talk, Dr. Jen Douglas explores how perfectionism develops, why it disproportionately affects women and marginalized communities, and how it quietly shapes our thoughts and behaviors. Attendees will walk away with concrete practices and simple rules for working with perfectionism—so achievement no longer comes at the cost of well-being.

Jen Douglas, PhD is a licensed psychologist, former Stanford Clinical Assistant Professor, and educational speaker. Dr. Jen helps high-achievers overcome perfectionism to truly enjoy their lives. Dr. Jen specializes in the intersection of high-functioning anxiety, trauma, and societal influences on mental health. She serves several non-profits aiding women and young individuals coping with difficult circumstances affecting mental health and educational opportunities.

Lunch will be served in Room 170 starting at 12:50 PM. RSVPs will be prioritized.
