Berkeley Journal of International Law 2026 Riesenfeld Symposium

The Berkeley Journal of International Law (BJIL) is delighted to invite you to its 2026 Stefan A. Riesenfeld Symposium, titled “Beyond Neutrality: Private International Law in a Multipolar World,” taking place on April 9, 2026. Throughout the day, distinguished speakers will explore how private legal actors navigate pressing global challenges, including sanctions and accountability, emerging technologies and AI, and climate action. We are also honored to welcome this year’s Riesenfeld Award recipient, Claudia Salomon, President of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, who will deliver a keynote address titled “An Empty Seat at the Table: International Arbitration with Non-Participating Parties.”
