BCLT/BTLJ Law & Tech Speaker Series – Cooley, “Life as a Privacy Lawyer in the Age of GDPR”

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 @ 12:55 pm - 1:55 pm

Life as a Privacy Lawyer in the Age of GDPR

With full implementation of Europe’s General Data Protection Regulation, seemingly incessant data breaches and Techlash, companies and law firms can’t hire privacy lawyers fast enough. But what exactly do privacy lawyers do in this new climate and what is the best way to crack into this growing practice area from law school?

Adam Connolly, special counsel at Cooley, advises clients on a range of matters relating to technology, innovation and data, including privacy and cybersecurity, product development, digital marketing and technology transactions.

The BCLT/BTLJ Law & Tech Speaker Series features local practitioners, bringing real world experience and practical legal knowledge to Berkeley Law students.

Lunch is served for students staying for the entire presentation.

Co-sponsored by the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology and the Berkeley Technology Law Journal. This event is open to current Berkeley Law students, Berkeley Law affiliates and BCLT law firm sponsors only.
