Bar Exam Preparation Workshop
Tuesday, May 7, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 2:30 pm
Berkeley Law will be hosting a Bar Exam Preparation Workshop for graduating students. Fernando Flores, who currently lectures at Berkeley Law, will be teaching the workshop especially intended to benefit students of color and first-generation professionals. Fernando Flores founded The Bar Exam Game Plan,™ “a holistic & powerful bar exam program that incorporates tips and strategies for every part of the exam including the Essays, PTs, MBEs, mindset, stress-management, goal setting, motivation & practicing under timed conditions.”
The Bar Exam Game Plan Workshop is unlike the bar prep courses we will take over the summer in that it provides test taking and goal setting strategies (i.e. stress management, maintaining motivation while battling impostor syndrome, and how to adequately answer the questions on the exam). Fellow 3Ls, including Candice Youngblood, have sat through a truncated version of this workshop, and have attested to it being incredibly helpful as a first-generation professional and a law student of color.
This event is open to all graduating students, but students should note that the Workshop covers stress management and motivation specific to students of color and first-generation professionals.
The Workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 7th 8:30am – 2:30pm at Stephens Lounge (MLK Student Union). Lunch will be provided. You must RSVP to attend: https://forms.gle/zXmRN88ezgUjApoz9. The event is limited to 65 students on a first-come first-served basis. We will confirm your reservation within 24 hours of your RSVP.
Events are wheelchair accessible. For disability-related accommodations, contact the organizer of the event. Advance notice is kindly requested.
