[ASP] How to Read a Case and Prepare for Class

Monday, August 31, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

How do I get through all of the reading for class? Come to this workshop hosted by the Academic Skills Program to learn how to read cases without wasting time. You will leave with a structured briefing method that actually works for cold calls and for outlining.  No more spending hours reading the same paragraph. And no fluff – just practical tools that will save your sanity.

All J.D. and LL.M. students are welcome to attend. A variety of snacks will be provided!

This workshop will be offered twice, on Monday, August 31, and Friday, September 4. It will not be recorded, but we would be happy to meet with you if you cannot attend or have questions. You can schedule a meeting here: BerkeleyLawASP.as.me. The slides will be posted on the ASP website.
