ALDF Presents: The Visibility of Labor & Abuse in Factory Farms

Tuesday, November 18, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

A white poster featuring the film poster for the documentary "Trafficked in America" along with a portrait photo of the documentarian Andres Cediel. Please see description above for more details.

Join the Animal Legal Defense Fund for a repeat event with Journalist and Professor Andrés Cediel as he walks us through his 2017 documentary “Trafficked in America” and discusses visibility and invisibility as tools of control for human and non-human animals alike.

Under the current regime our immigrant neighbors and family are receiving harsh and threatening attention. But while things have always been harsh, attention hasn’t always been the preferred strategy.

Documenting the trafficking of Guatemalan labors for illegal labor on egg farms, Cediel’s documentary explores the horrible working conditions undocumented and immigrant laborers endure in our factory farms and the great lengths that corporate interests go to hide it.

RSVP for a plant-based lunch!
