9/11 and a Dozen: Reflections from an Operational Lawyer Banished to the Pentagon

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 @ 12:45 pm - 1:50 pm

Free

Lt. Gen. (ret.) Dana Chipman is a graduate of West Point and Stanford Law School. Though a native of California, he was denied admittance to Berkeley Law School. He retains very little bitterness as to that unjustified slight.

Dana holds a Master of Laws degree from the JAG School and a Master of National Security Studies degree from the U.S. Army War College.

In 2013, Dana retired from active duty after a 33-year career in the U.S. Army that culminated with his four-year term as The Judge Advocate General, the highest-ranking legal officer in the Army. He previously served as Commanding General of the JAG’s Legal Center and School, and in a variety of other leadership and legal positions in the Army.
