Getting to PLSC: Oakland Airport (OAK) is closer to the Claremont Hotel, although you may have better luck getting direct flights by arriving at San Francisco International (SFO).
The least expensive way to get from either airport to the Claremont Hotel is to take the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). From the Oakland airport you board the AirBART, which will take you to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART Station. Take the Richmond train to 19th St. Oakland, and then transfer to the Pittsburg/Bay Point train. Exit at the Rockridge Station.
At SFO, the BART station is near the international terminal. Take the BART Pittsburg/Bay Point to the Rockridge Station (no transfer is required). This trip takes about 55 minutes.
From the Rockridge Station on BART, it is 1.3 miles to The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa. Start out going north on College Avenue toward Keith Avenue. Turn right onto Claremont Avenue and right again onto Tunnel Road. 41 Tunnel Road is on the left. Taxis are available at the Rockridge Station.
