Center for Youth Development through Law

The Center for Youth Development through Law promotes educational achievement, legal knowledge and the pursuit of legal careers among your people from disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.

Each summer, the program provides local disadvantaged high school students with instruction in law on the Berkeley campus, life skills workshops, and law related internships. During the school year, the youth are provided with follow-up mentoring.

Law school students have the opportunity to develop skills and help foster a more diverse legal profession by participating as paid instructors and volunteer mentors. Law faculty and alumni serve on the Board of Directors.
