Samuelson Clinic Director Deirdre Mulligan and Clinic Fellow Jack Lerner participated in the 2006 Computers, Freedom & Privacy Conference from May 2-5 in Washington, DC. Professor Mulligan participated on a panel Thursday afternoon, May 4 about the proliferation of video surveillance in the United States and Europe entitled “Surveillance: I Spy with My Big Eye.” Jack Lerner co-organized a tutorial on Tuesday afternoon, May 2, which comprehensively described the latest developments in electronic voting, including structural defects and technical vulnerabilities, an update on HAVA implementation, latest legislative efforts and litigation nationwide. Samuelson Clinic Student Interns Stephen Dang and Galen Hancock presented on legal issues faced by elections administration officials.
