In November 2015, Professors Steven Davidoff Solomon and Stavros Gadinis delivered seminars in Seoul at the Training Center of Yoon & Yang, LLC in conjunction with the Korea LawTimes, a legal newspaper in South Korea. The seminars were part of the Berkeley Law-Korea LawTimes 2015 International Business Law Program. Professor Solomon’s lecture delivered up-to-date trend and case analyses in connection with shareholder activism and mergers and acquisition. Professor Gadinis’ lecture focused on international business transactions, including transaction structuring (Regulation S, Rule 144A, registration of public offerings and registration of foreign private issuers) and disclosure and liability for fraud (Section 11 liabilities and Rule 10b-5). The seminars were attended by practitioners and students from leading Korean companies and universities.
