Samuelson Clinic Students Assisted the Constitution Project in Preparing Guidelines for Video Surveillance
Samuelson Clinic Student Interns provided drafting and research assistance with to The Constitution Project‘s Liberty and Security Initiative on a report titled Guidelines for Public Video Surveillance: A Guide to Protecting Communities and Preserving Civil Liberties. The report provided practical assistance to state and local governments that have established, or are seeking to install, video surveillance systems, and showed how communities can set up systems that enhance security while still protecting civil liberties. The Samuelson Clinic is currently working with the Constitution Project to develop model legislation to codify these guidelines. The model legislation will be available later this year.
