“Privacy in the Digital Age: Work in Progress” by Clinic Director Deirdre Mulligan puts forth growing concerns about privacy and the internet. The law review article states that although the internet has made it easier to spread information, individuals are still hesitant to participate due to concerns about privacy. Because of this, many companies have been taking privacy issues seriously by marketing “privacy sensitivity” to the public. The article concludes that there is a need for rules and regulations so that individuals can participate in electronic commerce without worrying about privacy issues.
