There is no shortage of coast-to-coast good news for recent alums eager to practice. Of the 2017 grads who took the summer California Bar Exam, 89.2 percent passed.
This marks an improvement of five percentage points from the previous year, the second-highest total among California’s 21 law schools, and 19 percentage points higher than the ABA statewide average.
Meanwhile, Berkeley Law scored a perfect pass rate of 100 percent on the summer New York State Bar Exam. Some 45 alumni, including 40 from last year’s graduating class, aced the two-day test. Nearly 10,000 people took the exam, with a pass rate of 68 percent overall and 78 percent among first-time takers.
