Nicole Ozer ’03 has been named the first civil liberties and technology policy director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California. Based in a new San Jose office, she will develop privacy and other civil rights initiatives and strategies related to technological advances. She previously served as a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and was a litigation associate with Morrison & Foerster.
At Boalt, Ozer was an executive editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and a clinical intern at the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic. She also served as co-president of Boalt’s class of 2003 and was honored by the law school for excellence in clinical advocacy. In 2001 she was recognized by San Jose Magazine as one of 20 women “Making a Mark” in Silicon Valley.
