Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Joseph M. Miller ’65 to serve as chair of the California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. Based in San Francisco, the seven-member judicial body reviews petitions to reconsider decisions by administrative law judges in the Division of Workers’ Compensation. The board also adopts rules of practice and procedure. Miller has specialized in workers’ compensation law for more than 30 years. He spent 23 years in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw, where he created and managed the firm’s workers’ compensation practice.
