Dean’s Statement

From: Dean Erwin Chemerinsky
Date: October 26, 2022

Dear Law School Community,

Today, an outside group, Accuracy in Media, has engaged in the despicable act of a truck which lists names of students, staff, and student organizations and accuses them of antisemitism. This is outrageous behavior that threatens the safety of our students, especially our Muslim students and students of color. Although people may differ about the position taken by some student organizations, no student ever should be subjected to this public attack. I condemn it in the strongest terms and we will take affirmative measures to protect the safety and reputation of students who are put at risk of violence by doxxing and other personal identification that could be used to physically harm them. I – and all in the campus administration – express our strong support for students who are being targeted in this way and are committed to protecting their safety.
