Law and Technology (IP) Certificate (Professional Track)

The Certificate in Law and Technology provides access to Berkeley Law’s top-ranked curriculum in intellectual property law, offered through the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology

Professional track students take courses with the leading experts in this constantly evolving field, including BCLT faculty directors Peter Menell and Robert Merges.

To qualify for the LL.M. professional track certificate, a student must complete a total of 11 units from the list of courses below.

      • Introduction to Intellectual Property (3 units)
      • Copyright Law (3 units)
      • Cybersecurity Law (1 unit)
      • Entertainment Law (1 unit)
      • Patent Law (3 units)
      • Privacy Law (3 units)
      • Trademark Law (3 units)
      • Video Game Law (1 unit)

 

Students may apply for the certificate in their second year.
