Summer 2021 Instruction Updates
Berkeley Law remains committed to adapting our programs and curriculum to ever-changing circumstances while maintaining the highest standard for your LL.M. education. Our work navigating Fall 2020 and our planning for Spring 2021 have given our staff and faculty the necessary experience to continue to provide you an enriching and fulfilling educational experience during your LL.M. journey.
In response to COVID-19 and ongoing uncertainty, we are providing multiple enrollment options for the summer 2021 semester of the LL.M. executive track. Students may attend summer 2021 classes remotely (online), on-campus, or a combination of remotely and on-campus (flex). Summer tuition fees are the same for all executive track students regardless of the method or duration of enrollment. Explore your summer options within the LL.M. executive track to see what works best for you.
Please know that our top priority is still to protect the health and safety of all of our students, staff, and faculty while doing what is best educationally for each and every student. We will continue to keep you informed as we receive updates from the university and public health officials.

Previous COVID Response for the 2020-2021 School Year
Thanks to the efforts of the Advanced Degree Programs staff and the dedication of our faculty, we were able to offer a full suite of courses on business law, intellectual property law, and areas of law tested on the bar exam as well as providing engaging opportunities for our students to network with each other and to participate in the intellectual life of the law school through streaming talks and events— all via Zoom.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Berkeley Law provided our entering academic year students with 4 program options to better meet their educational needs. Students were able to choose to start in Fall 2020 and finish their degree in Spring 2021, as is the typical academic year schedule. Additionally for this past academic year, we gave students the options to start their program in Spring 2021 and finish in Summer 2021 by enrolling in our LL.M. executive track courses; or start in Spring 2021 and finish in Fall 2021. Additionally, students were also able to choose to defer to Fall 2021.
