University-Owned Housing

Many of our law students enjoy living in university-owned housing as there are no credit checks or need for cosigners, lower deposit ($500) than off-campus landlords, wifi and most utilities are included, they are usually furnished including kitchen appliances, and laundry access is either in unit or in the building. And, if you choose to live with an apartment-mate, you’ll have an independent housing agreement meaning you won’t be held responsible if an apartment-mate moves out early. We’ve outlined a few for you below, but please visit UC Berkeley Housing for more detailed information.
