J.S.D. Program Cost of Attendance

Tuition for first year J.S.D. students during the 2016-2017 academic year is estimated at $17,742 for California residents or $32,835 for nonresidents.

Once a student advances to candidacy after the first year, the nonresident supplemental tuition fee (if applicable) is waived for two subsequent years.

Total fees for the 3-year program are approximately $53,000 for CA residents or $68,000 for nonresidents.

The law school does not provide funding for J.S.D. candidates, although candidates may pursue work as research or teaching assistants on campus.
