UPCOMING EVENTS

FDA Regulatory Work 101

Monday, November 23

12:45 PM - 1:45 PM
Boalt Hall Room 130

The FDA is the gatekeeper for every pharmaceutical, medical device, and mobile health app product. One of the fastest ways to set yourself apart in the life science and healthcare space is to have a working knowledge of FDA regulation.

Join BHBLS to hear from Dr. Jur Strobos, JD, MD, speak about the FDA, what regulatory work entails, and the course he will be co-teaching with Dr. Veronica Miller in Spring 2016 at the public health school:  FDA & Drug Development.  Dr. Strobos was previously appointed to the Office of Policy at the FDA, where he worked closely with the Commissioner on regulatory policies.  He has also served as an executive with Medicis Pharmaceuticals, where he helped establish a clinical research and regulatory department.  Dr. Strobos was the recipient of a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to work with the FDA's Division of Antiviral Drug Products on policies related to HIV treatment and prevention.
