“The Right to be Forgotten”
Thursday September 3, 2015 ~ 12:55pm-1:55pm
Boalt Hall, Room 105

Google VP and Deputy General Counsel Matt Sucherman will discuss the ruling last year by the European Court of Justice establishing a "right to be forgotten," including what it means for search engines and the implications for regulation of content on the Internet.  A fascinating look at how a global company reconciles the sometimes competing human rights of privacy and access to information.

Lunch is served for students staying through the entire presentation.

Co-sponsored by the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology and the Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
