STUDENTS > Curricular Programs >
This innovative program integrates theory and practice in the classroom, using U.S. Supreme Court cases to educate law, undergraduate, and high school students about their constitutional rights and responsibilities.
Students learn and teach a number of topics, including: free expression, equal protection, searches, punishment, drug testing and others that arise in the educational environment.
According to law students, the top five benefits of the project are:
- I translated and distilled complex legal information into everyday language, which will help me effectively communicate to jurors and clients in the future;
- I loved making a meaningful contribution in an economically disadvantaged community;
- I discovered my learning style, which will enable me to be a more efficient and effective learner for the bar exam and beyond;
- I helped high school students develop their analytic and advocacy skills;
- I succeeded in a mock trial program because I applied theories of learning styles covered in this course.
