Ninth
Circuit Day
Boalt's Oldest Tradition

|
Traditionally, the Ninth Circuit Court of Apeals hears one day of oral arguments at Boalt Hall during the spring semester. Ninth Circuit Day is a unique opportunity for Boalt students to view real appellate practice in front of one of the most dynamic courts of appeal in the country. Very few schools offer this educational opportunity. We usually post the calendars of arguments at this website when we receive them from the Court. We often put the briefs on reserve in the law library approximately 2 - 3 weeks prior to the date of argument Arguments typically begin at 9:00 a.m. and last most of the morning. Because of increased security concerns, please arrive early as each your backpacks and bags will need to be searched by the U.S. Marshall's Service prior to entry into Booth Auditorium.
