Welcome to the website of the Board of Advocates (Boalt Hall's Moot Court Board).
Boalt Hall offers students a variety of opportunities to enhance and refine their advocacy skills. Courses are taught in appellate advocacy, trial practice, mediation, negotiation, and evidence advocacy. The school also sends student teams to participate in several national and international appellate, trial, and alternative dispute resolution competitions. Additionally, each academic year ends with the prestigious McBaine Competition in which Boalt's most talented students compete to be named the most outstanding appellate advocate in the graduating class.

The Faces of Boalt Hall
The students who compete in our Moot Court, Mock Trial and Alternative Dispute Resolution programs are the representatives of Boalt Hall at competitions across the country. Their victories and awards are a reflection of the dedication and talent it takes to succeed in competition, and of Boalt's strong commitment to advocacy education.
