Key academics, industry experts, government liaisons, and consumer representatives participated in this first informational hearing on the Internet of Things (IoT), which examined the benefits and challenges associated with the IoT and the impact it may have on consumers, state and local governments, and businesses. The role of of Legislature in this complex and emerging issue was discussed.
